Making a call using off-hook dialing
About this task
When the Avaya Vantage
™
device goes off-hook, you will not receive incoming calls while your are
dialing a number.
Note:
If the hot dialing feature is activated, Avaya Vantage
™
automatically makes a call to the
configured hotline number when your device goes off-hook. You cannot dial any other
numbers.
Procedure
1. To go off-hook, do one of the following:
• Lift the handset.
• On the Dial pad screen of Avaya Vantage
™
, tap .
• On K155, press the button.
If a headset is connected to the device, you can press the
button to go off-hook.
2. Enter the telephone number.
On K155, use the physical keypad on the device to enter the number.
You cannot enter a number when hot dialing is enabled.
Making a second call
About this task
Use this procedure to make a second call while you are already on a call. You can have more than
one calls at the same time. When one call is active, the other is placed on hold.
Note:
For multiple line support to work on IP Office, you must enable the Call Waiting On feature for
the user account. Otherwise the connection is treated as a single line.
Procedure
1. While on a call, tap .
2. In the Call Features window, tap
New Call
.
Avaya Vantage
™
places the first call on hold and displays the Dial pad screen.
3. Do one of the following:
• Enter the telephone number you want to call.
