This Job Aid contains the procedures to replace the Server Availability Management
Processor™ (SAMP) remote maintenance board on the Avaya S8510 Server.
Required materials
Hardware and tools
Verify that you have the following equipment and tools on site:
•
S8510 SAMP Board, Material ID 700451198
•
Services laptop and crossover cable
•
#2 Phillips (cross-point) screwdriver
•
Electrostatic wrist ground strap and mat
•
Key to front bezel
Note:
Note:
The server ships with the front bezel unlocked and the keys taped inside it. The
customer decides whether to lock the front bezel or not. When you are finished
with the replacement procedure, please leave the server’s front bezel as you
found it.
