VISCA-cross cable for Avaya Room Camera RC100
Visca Control is a standard protocol to control PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) Cameras. You can use the
VISCA cross-cable for Avaya Room Camera RC100 as an additional HD camera with Avaya XT
Series.
By default, the camera has a rotary selector set to F position. When the rotary selector is set to F
position, the video resolution and frame rate is set through VISCA or camera remote control. After
setting, the camera reboots and the frame rate family set for HDMI is used for USB and IP
streams.
For example, if 1080p@60fps is set for HDMI through VISCA or remote control, then the available
formats for USB and IP are @30fps or @60fps but not @25fps or@50fps.
If the rotary selector is set to F position, the default video format over HDMI is set to 1080p60 and
the default video is set to 1080p30 for USB and IP.
If Avaya Room Camera RC100 is connected one time to the Avaya XT Series endpoint through
VISCA, then the OSD through the remote control is disabled.
To recover the OSD, it is necessary to connect the Avaya Room Camera RC100 to the Avaya XT
Series endpoint again and activate the camera factory recovery procedure within the Avaya XT
Series.

The VISCA-cross cable and HDMI to DVI Cable, used to connect the additional camera, you
can order separately in the camera cable kit (P/N 700512192).
Configuring Avaya Room Camera RC100 as USB camera
for your laptop
Procedure
1. Connect Avaya Room Camera RC100 to the USB port of your laptop using the USB cable.
2. Open or browse one of the following conferencing applications:
• Avaya Spaces
• Avaya Cloud Office

• Other conferencing applications, such as Microsoft

Skype for Business, Microsoft

Teams, Zoom
®
, and BlueJeans

.
3. Select Avaya Room Camera RC100 as a video source from the setting or user preference
section.
