Document Terminology
Control Module
The “brain” of your system. Usually hidden underneath the
dash area of the vehicle. It houses the microprocessor which
monitors your vehicle and controls all of the system’s functions.
Remote Control
A hand-held, remote control which operates the various func-
tions of your system.
Status LED
Transmit LED (Light Emitting Diode): A light used to indicate the
status of your system. It turns on when a button is pressed or
communication is active.
Control Center
Mounted high in the vehicle usually on the windshield in a
location close to the rear view mirror. Consists of a antenna/
receiver for communicating between the control module and
remote controls and a control button with status LED for pro-
gramming system features.
Shutdown Toggle
Switch
Normally located near the control module or mounted around
the dashboard, this Shutdown switch is used to disable the
remote start feature.
