1. Attach the bow line to the tip of the underside
of the bowsprit
2. Attach the lines on either side of the bowsprit
to the eyes on the port and starboard sides of the
hull.
Place the hull of the Cape Horn in the stand.
Carefully unroll the sail set and remove the bowsprit.
At the front of the ship slide the bowsprit under
the brass brace and into the wood terminal.

4. Twist open the mast rings so they may fit around
the mast pole.

3. Place the large end of the mast into the maststep.
At the top of the mast the forward side of the mast
has one eye hook, aft has two eyes.
Forestay line is attached at the top aft of the mast.
Fasten the other end to the eye at the tip of the
bowsprit. Top shroud lines are attached at both
sides of the mast top and pass through the spreader.
Fasten the ends of the lines to the aft shroud eyes
on the deck. Side shrouds - these thick lines are
attached to the mast just below the spreader.
Fasten S hooks at the ends of the lines to fore and
aft shroud eyes on the deck. Run the adjustment
device up each line until it is taut.
