12. Corrective action
12.1. Fault indications and warning indications
Faults interrupt or prevent the electrical actuator operation.
Faults and warnings can be signalled via the fieldbus and/or via the local controls.
Should local controls be available, the fault and warning signals are indicated by the
left indication light [1].

In operation mode LOCAL (right indication light is blinking in blue), stored faults
(cause does no longer exist), may be reset using the push button RESET [2] (hold
it down for more than 1 second).
Warnings have no influence on the electrical actuator operation. They only serve
for information purposes.
The tables below show the fault signalling via the indication lights of the local controls.

Fault E2 (actual value of positioner)
→ Check wiring (for possible loss of signal) of E2.
→ Read detailed fault indication via AUMA CDT
software (accessories).
Fault indication 5 5 blinks
Actuator is outside the permissible position (poten-
tiometer signal).
→ Set potentiometer again.
Fault indication 6 6 blinks
Fault of controls temperature Fault indication 7 7 blinks
Collective signal: Internal error has occurred.
→ Read detailed fault indication via AUMA CDT
software (accessories) and contact AUMA service.
Fault indication 8 8 blinks
Collective signal for all other faults Fault indication 9 9 blinks
In case several faults have occurred, only the fault with the highest priority will be
signalled. Fault indication 1 has the highest, fault indication 9 the lowest priority.
