Provisioning for IP Telephones
Configuring the Configuration Port for System Telephones
Provisioning for IP Telephones
Provisioning is the automated configuration of one or more telephones from a provisioning
server. The device sets up a connection with a provisioning server, over which it receives the
necessary configuration data.
Note:
You will find further information about the provisioning process on the
Internet (see
www.auerswald.de/service
under
Developer
).
During configuration via a provisioning server the telephone takes over the configuration data
directly from a file created previously and distributed via the network. For this purpose, the PBX
acts as provisioning server.
The following table shows the configurability type of the various COMfortel IP telephones:
In the case of automatic provisioning from the provisioning server, regular (e. g. weekly)
automatic provisioning can be configured. You can set the weekday, time and the address of
the provisioning server on the telephone.
There are several different ways to perform an automatic provisioning:
•
Provisioning with the help of DHCP data
•
Provisioning via the redirect server
•
Provisioning by PBX search
•
Provisioning via a set provisioning server
Note:
For further information refer to the Operation Guides of the IP
telephones.
