Preparation (COMpact 5000)
Connecting the Earthing
–
Grounding conductor (potential compensation bar of the house installation or protective
earth conductor)
1. Hold the drilling template onto the area where the device is to be mounted and place
marks where the three mounting holes are to be drilled into the wall.
2. Drill the mounting holes (diameter 6 mm) and insert dowels into the holes.
3. Screw in the two upper screws far enough so that the screw head is about 5 mm away
from the wall.
4. Mount the PBX on the screws, then slide the PBX on the wall downwards until the
screws hit the stopper.
5. Secure the PBX by tightening the third screw.
Connecting the Earthing

Warning:
Liquid entering the casing can cause life-threatening electric
shocks or damage or destroy the PBX.
•
Only operate the device in closed, dry rooms.
Caution:
Overheating can damage or destroy the system.
•
Note the ambient temperature values indicated in the technical data.
•
Make sure that heat produced by the device can be adequately vented
into the environment. Do not install the system in a cabinet without
adequate air circulation.
•
Never cover the air vents of the casing.
Important:
Mechanical loads and electro-magnetic fields can impair PBX
operation.
•
Avoid mechanical loads (e. g. vibrations).
•
Avoid proximity to devices that generate electro-magnetic fields or react
sensitively to them (e. g. radio receivers, amateur radio sets, mobile
phones, DECT systems, etc.).
•
Protect the PBX from dirt, excessive dust, condensation caustic liquids
and steam.
