Using an Internal or External Telephone (Remote Access) to Operate and Query a Voice
Mailbox
The voice messages of a voice mailbox can be queried by means of an internal or external
telephone (remote access). Using various announcements, the caller is guided through the
query menu. Besides accessing the messages, it is also possible to operate (e. g. switch on
and off) the voice mailbox via telephone.
Requirements:

Voice mail/fax function (optional, see chapter Important Information > Product Details >
Basic Assembly and Extensions)

Imported language file (*.fs)
•
Knowledge of the PIN for accessing the corresponding voice mailbox remotely
•
DTMF dialling support on the external telephone
1. Call the voice mailbox.
Name
: Shows the name of the caller.
•
External caller: Name in the telephone book or presented via CNIP
•
Internal caller: Internal name
Call destination
: Indicates the phone number to which the message was
directed.
Line
: Shows your own external number dialled by the external caller. If the
own external number is assigned a name using the configuration manager, this
name will be displayed instead of the phone number.
Clicking this symbols opens a dialogue for opening or saving the corre-
sponding message.
Clicking this symbols opens a dialogue for moving, copying, or archiving the
corresponding message.
Clicking this symbols opens a dialogue for sending the corresponding
message via e-mail. If the configurations for e-mail transfer have not yet been
completed (e. g. missing message recipient),
will be displayed and the
message will not be sent via e-mail.
