Configuring a Voice Mailbox
Voice Mailbox
A voice mailbox assumes the task of an answering machine. Depending on the setting, it
accepts incoming calls and stores recorded messages as audio files (*.wav).
Configuring a Voice Mailbox
Requirements:

Voice mail/fax function (optional, see chapter Important Information > Product Details >
Basic Assembly and Extensions)
1. Create a voice mailbox. Here, the voice mailbox is assigned a phone number and a
name. If required, an owner is assigned.
2. Configure the
Maximum recording capacity
for the voice mailbox.
3. If required, enable
Automatic clean-up
.
4. If required, configure additional properties (
Message forwarding
,
Automatic replay
of new messages
,
Remote access
,
Language of the announcements
,
transfer
on incoming message, if memory is full or in case of failure of automatic
clean-up).
5. If required, enable
Call pick-up
for the voice mailbox and the
Groups(s)/Voice
mailbox(es)
authorisation for the owners/users under
Pick-up
(see
Subscriber
(scr.) > Properties > Authorisations
).
6. If required, select further users for the voice mailbox and enable or disable their
authorisations (
Administrate announcements and settings
).
7. If required, record the announcements proprietary of the box or save existing
announcements for the voice mailbox in the PBX.
8. If required, assign a profile to the voice mailbox.
9. Only if no profile has been assigned to the voice mailbox (default settings of the
standard profile) or if settings have been made in the profile which can be enabled by
the user (not
Profile-controlled settings
):
Configure the
Call acceptance/announcement
function for the voice mailbox.
10. If required, configure
Readiness
permanently for the voice mailbox.
