Address Books
Creating a Contact
•
On a system telephone, you do not need to accept the call because the
connection is set up immediately. Take the call as soon as the called subscriber
responds.
•
On an analogue telephone, an ISDN telephone or a standard SIP telephone, you
need to accept the call by picking up the receiver or pressing the
Hook
button.
This then sets up the connection.

Creating a Contact
Proceed as follows:
•
Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
•
For users: write access to at least one contact group
•
For users: assigned to at least one standard contact group
Note:
As an Administrator you can create contacts without contact groups as
long as no standard contact group is assigned. A user will be unable to see
these contacts until you assign them to a contact group, for which this user
has at least read right, at a later time.
1. Open the following page:
•
As administrator:
User data > Address books > Contacts & assignment

As a user:
Contacts & assignment
.
All contacts
view appears.
2. Click
New
.
Note:
The
New
button is only available in
All contacts
view.
3. Enter a name to identify the contact in at least one of the
Surname
,
Display name
or
Company
entry fields.
