Terminology

Jitter Buffer

Buffers RTP packages, to compensate irregular transfer rates of the
Internet.

A high jitter buffer reduces short interruptions during the call. In return the
delay of the RTP packages increases.

LAN

Local Area Network - connects computers over company or home networks.

LDAP

Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) - enables you to query the data in a
directory service (a hierarchical database) over the network.
