Connecting the Base Station

The cable needed to connect the base station is included in the scope of delivery. 

1.

Insert the RJ-45 plug into the socket with the telephone icon on the back of the base station. 

2.

Insert the other RJ-45 plug into a socket at the internal S

0

 bus.

Important:

The Auerswald PBX must be connected to a 230-V power supply in order to put the 
system telephone into operation.

The complete scope of functions can only be used fully if the complete telephone 
system and the PCs which may be connected to it have been installed and configured 
by an expert:

•

For firmware version 3.8D and higher (PBX systems COMmander Business, 
COMmander Basic.2, COMpact 5010/5020 VoIP).

•

For firmware version 4.0 and higher (PBX system COMpact-3000 Series)

•

For firmware version 2.0 and higher (COMpact 2204 USB, COMpact 2206 USB, 
COMpact 4406 DSL, COMpact 4410 USB, and COMmander Basic).

•

For firmware version 00.17.70 11.01 and higher (COMfortel DECT 900 Base)

The firmware version can be queried (PBX, e. g. via telephone—see manual for the 
PBX, base station, see 

chapter Querying the Firmware Versions of the Devices on 

page 84

). If required, run updates for the corresponding devices.

2.

For the PBX systems COMpact 2204/2206/4410 USB, COMpact 4406 DSL, and COMmander Basic, the follo-
wing restrictions apply: Synchronization of telephone books with a maximum of 80 entries, function central cal-
ler list for groups is not supported.
