7. Diagnostics

There are several ways you can check on the status and availability of SE5404D.

7.1 Use Standard TCP/IP Utility

ping

Command

From Windows

Start

menu, select

Run

and Enter

in “

ping <TCP Server IP address>

”(Figure 7.1).

If the connection is established, the Reply messages are displayed, otherwise it will indicate Request timed out.

7.2 Use Serial Manager Configuration Utility Program

Use Serial Manager Utility configuration program that comes with the product CD or diskette to check on the status
of SE5404D. The status and version can be read from the tool.
