Chapter 4. Administration

Firmware

As new versions of the IP8000 firmware become available, they can be
downloaded from our website. Check the website regularly to find the latest
information and packages.

To upgrade the firmware, do the following:

1. Download the new firmware file to a computer that is not the one that your

IP8000 is installed on.

2. From that computer, open your browser; log in to the IP8000; and click the

Firmware

icon to bring up the

Firmware File

dialog box:

3. Click

Browse

; navigate to the directory that the new firmware file is in

and select the file.

4. Click

Upload

5. After the upload completes, the

Reset on exit

checkbox

(See

Customization

, page 29) will automatically be enabled. To have the

new firmware take effect, click

Logout

at the bottom left of the Main web

page to exit and reset the IP8000, then login again.
