Port Messages
The following error messages appear in the message area on the Port
Information screen.
Message: Please Try Later.
Description: You requested the port data while another data request
(such as an initial data request, a refresh request, or another port request)
was already in progress.
Action: Wait for the previous data request to be executed, then request
the port data again.
ERROR: Could Not Get Port Data from Agent.
Description: An error occurred when the Fault Management application
requested port data from the PBX. This can happen if you request data for
an unassigned port or if the connection between the PBX and the Proxy
Agent is down.
Action: Check the connection between the Proxy Agent and the PBX.
The words “Not Available” display in the fields on the Port Information screen.
Description: Fault Management is not getting a response from the Proxy
Agent.
Action: Try the following:

Make sure the connection is up.
■
Increase the value in the Number Retries on SNMP Timeout field on
the Setup screen.
Messages Specific to HP OpenView
The following message is specific to the HP OpenView platform:
ERROR: No response from the agent.
Description: The Proxy Agent did not respond to a request for SNMP port
data.
Action: Try the following procedure.
1. Check to see whether the connection between the Proxy Agent and
the PBX is up, and that the Proxy Agent is running and
communicating with the NMS.
2. Make sure that the PBX is in the Proxy Agent’s clients screen.
