» the machine, including additional fixtures, is operated improperly and is not properly maintained and

Intended Use
The
Saphir 550 / 560
is an electronically controlled grinding and polishing machine that is designed exclusively to
execute grinding and polishing work of embedded or non-embedded samples automatically or manually.
This applies as well for all options available for the machine.
If the
Saphir 550 / 560
is not used for the purpose listed here then no safe operation of the machine can be ensured.
This applies as improper use.
The owner/operator of the machine, not the manufacturer, is liable for all personal injuries and property damage that
occur from improper use!
The grinding and polishing machine is configured for:
mechanical preparation of many metallic and non-metallic materials.

Intended use also includes the reading of this operating manual, as well as compliance with all instructions contained
