1. Align the server rails with the rack rails, then push the server all the way to the depth of
the rack.
To mount the server into the rack:
2. Tighten the thumbscrews on both side to secure the server in place.
3.1.2 Mounting the server to the rack
To unmount the server from the rack:
Loosen the thumbscrews on both sides then gently pull the server from the rack.

• Ensure that the rack rail cabinet and the rack posts are stable and standing firmly on a
level surface.
• We strongly recommend that at least two able-bodied persons perform the steps
described in this guide.
• We recommend the use an appropriate lifting tool or device, if necessary.
If you installed the rail screw and rail washer in step 6 of section 3.1.1 Attaching the rack
rails , make sure to remove the rail screw and the rail washer first before proceeding to the
next step.
