Install Arm and Track
Installation of the swing free arm requires
preliminary adjustment for hand of door.
1. Remove arm screws and rotate hub so that
appropriate L.H. or R.H. (hand of door)
marking aligns with arm. (Figure 3)
2. Re-install screws and spacer before
installation of arm on closer.
3. To activate swing free arm from any hold
open position, simply remove two arm
screws (and store for future use). Door
should swing freely.
4. With appropriate size wrench, rotate closer
top spindle approximately 45 degrees.
(Figure 4)
NOTE: Closing both valves for door speed
and latching speed makes this procedure
much easier.
5. Install closer arm on bottom spindle
approximately parallel to the door and arm
length AWAY from hinge.
6. Secure arm with screw and washer.
7. Remove end cap from track.
8. Position track with open side up.
9. Insert roller end of closer arm in sliding
groove of track.
10. With arm engaged in slide groove, slide
track into position so that prepared holes
on door align with track holes.
11. Replace end cap and secure track to door.
