• If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery, seek medical attention immediately .

• Examine devices and make sure the battery compartment is correctly secured, e .g ., that the screw or
other mechanical fastener is tightened . Do not use if compartment is not secure .
• Dispose of used button batteries immediately and safely . Flat batteries can still be dangerous . As soon
as you have finished using a button battery put sticky tape around both sides of the battery . This will
make them less attractive to children and to avoid the low risk of them catching fire . Then dispose of
them immediately in an outside bin, out of reach of children, or recycle safely .
