Testing the smoke switch with calibration gas

1 Spray the calibration gas with 4 - 6 short bursts through the lower smoke inlet

opening with an interval of approx. 1 second from a distance of 10-15 cm to
trigger the alarm.



The LED display illuminates as red with successful alarm triggering and the
locking element/the freely operating door closer is deenergised.



Resetting to the alarm status is executed automatically.

Acceptance inspection

The faultless functionality and proper installation according to the provisions
must be determined and confirmed by an approval inspection after the ready for
operation installation of the locking system.
The acceptance inspection may only be executed by specialists from

ASSA ABLOY

Sicherheitstechnik GmbH

or from

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH

authorised

trained, specialists or specialists from a hereby nominated inspection entity.

Maintenance and care

Monthly inspection

Inspect the device for faultless functionality at monthly intervals.

Annual inspection and maintenance

The owner and/or operator is obliged to initiate an inspection for the proper and
malfunction-free interaction between all devices or assign these works at annual
intervals.

Information!

The annual inspection/maintenance may only be implemented by skilled, trained
personnel or a person who has been trained for this purpose.

Information!

The scope, result, and period of the monthly inspection as well as the annual
maintenance and inspection must be recorded and documented.
These records must be safely retained by the owner and/or operator.
