Selects auto reliable mode. This operates the same as \
N2 except failure to make a reliable connection results
in the modem falling back to the speed buffered
normal mode (Forces &Q5, S36=7, and S48=7)

Selects LAP-M error-correction mode. Failure to make a
LAP-M error-correction results in the modem hanging
up.
(Forces &Q5 and S48=0) The AT-K1 command can over
ride the AT\N4 command.

Selects MNP5 error-correction mode. Failure to make a
n MNP error-correction connection results in the mode
m hanging up. (Forces &Q5, S36=4 and S48=128)
