Note:
It is not possible to downgrade by replacing the Flash card with the
loaded system software as the EIM card is also changed to generation
6.6 during the upgrade to I6.6.
Note: An I6.6 EIM card together with I6.5 system software triggers a
first start.

System Downgrade from I7.x (x<5) to I6.6
A successful downgrade requires the existence of a corresponding system software
and valid configuration data. AIMS is backward compatible, which means that it is
not absolutely necessary to change AIMS (does not apply to AIMS versions 7.6 and
later).
System Downgrade with Flash Card
The simplest way of obtaining an I6.6 from an I7.x (x<5) single system is to replace
the Flash card with the loaded system software (see
). The
configuration data is also stored on the Flash card. After the start-up the system is
ready to operate again with the old system configuration.
System Downgrade with Software Upload
If a Flash card with old system software is not available, follow the steps described
below:
1.
Carry out an emergency upload as indicated in
.
2.
Once the system has started up, load the saved configuration data using AIMS
under
"Restore"
, and save the data in the PBX with
"Upload"
. The PBX reboots and
is then ready for operation with the old system software and the familiar system
configuration.
6. 4. 12
System Downgrade from I7.5 to I7.x (x<5)
A successful downgrade requires the existence of a corresponding system software
and valid configuration data. AIMS is backwards compatible, which means that
AIMS does not necessarily have to be changed.
