Chapter 3

Installing the switch

The following sections show how to install and mount the switch. For more information contact your Aruba
representative or Aruba authorized reseller.

Included Parts

The 4100i switch is shipped with the following components:

Documentation kit

JL817A does not include any accessory kit. The DIN mounting bracket is integrated to this switch.

Accessory kit included in JL818A:

Two short mounting brackets for wall mount

Two long mounting brackets for 2-post rack mount

Four 16-mm M4 screws to the wall mount bracket to the wall

Four washers to be used together with M4 screws

Four wall anchors for wall mount

Eight countersunk head M4 screws to attach the mounting brackets to the switch

Four 5/8 inch number 12-24 screws to attach the switch to the rack

Four rubber feet

One cable tie
