Introduction
The Artesyn Embedded Technologies Centellis™ 2100 platform core is a high availability
platform ideally suited for data intensive, central office, and enterprise networking
applications. The low profile makes the Centellis 2100 the optimal candidate for distributed
networking functions, low density subscriber areas, or specialized applications.
The Centellis 2100 is suitable for applications such as security and DPI appliances, distributed
control plane functions,
IP Multimedia Subsystem (
IMS)/Internet Protocol Television (IPTV)
subsystems, 4G wireless applications and edge networking and routing.
The Centellis 2100 is a compact platform with integrated chassis, cooling, power, switching,
and shelf management.
1.1 Features
The following are the main features of Centellis 2100 platform core:

Two-slot, 3U, 19” form factor (horizontal slots)

Targeted for central office and data center applications

Supports power and cooling for up to 400 W per slot and up to 500W in a single slot
configuration

Available in simplex and duplex configurations with integrated shelf management and
base infrastructure switching

NEBS compliant front-to-rear enhanced cooling

Enables system integrators to increase performance and I/O bandwidth per slot.

Direct cross-connect circuitry for the Fabric Interface (1G/10G/40G)

AC and DC power configurations available

Two user slots for OEM customization

RoHS compliant

Designed for NEBS/ETSI compliance (DC variants only).

Compact size, reduced maintenance, minimized cabling and ease of future performance
upgrades enabled by our innovative blade architecture.

