8.3.5 Handshaking Jumper

A jumper on the BajaPPC-750 circuit board determines whether or not EIA-232
handshaking is enabled as follows:

8.4 Parallel Port (Optional)

The Ultra I/O controller provides a standard parallel port, which is controlled by
software. The parallel port signals are available at VMEbus connector P2, row C
(see Table 6-10 for pinouts).

NOTE.

The standard BajaPPC-750 configuration does not provide parallel
port signals. These signals are available only with the optional (Motor-
ola-compatible) pinout configuration on P2.

The following sections briefly describe eight addressable registers that determine
the parallel port functions. Please refer to the

Ultra I/O Controller User’s Manual

for

complete information on the parallel port features.
