3.2.5 Mounting Options
You can operate the system on your desk or you can install it in a standard 23" rack.
During installation of the system, make sure to follow these guidelines:

During the course of handling, shipping, and assembly, check that pins, shrouds and
mounting screws, fans, and other items are not loose or damaged.

Do not operate a damaged shelf, this can cause damage to devices that interfere with
it.

Do not remove shipping frame stiffeners until positioning is complete and all bolts are
fully tightened. Mounting without frame stiffeners may cause warping of the chassis.

Always lift the chassis from the bottom/base of the chassis.

Do not lift chassis at the internal card cage.

Lifting at internal card cage may cause warping of the chassis and prevent proper
insertion of blades products.

Do not lift chassis at the front upper fan tray or top front of chassis.

Lifting at these points may cause warping of the chassis and prevent proper EMI
sealing or damage to the fan tray.
