Connecting to the Blade

Procedure

To connect to the blade using the serial console redirect feature:

1. Configure terminal to communicate using the same parameters as in BIOS setup.

2. Connect the terminal to NULL-modem cable.

3. Connect the NULL-modem cable to COM port of the blade.

4. Start up the blade.

6.3

Changing Configuration Settings

When the system is switched on or rebooted, the presence and functionality of the system
components is tested by Power-On Self-Test (POST).
