Show Cable Modem Command
The show ip interface cable and show interface cable commands have been updated to reflect additions in device classes
(both helper-addresses and secondary dhcp giaddrs).
The
show cable modem detail
command has been upgraded to indicate the CPE device class, as seen in the following
example:
CPE(type) 0000.ca30.f769 IP=10.116.32.76 Proto-Throttle=Normal
Where: type is MTA or STB. If it is not one of these types, then (type) is left out of the output.
The
show cable modem column ?
command includes the following new columns: cpe-type, cpe-ip, and cpe-mac:

For multiple CPEs per CM, there are multiple rows in the show cable modem column command for one CM. The rows other
than
that first CM are indicated with a plus sign (+) in the leftmost column.
Use the following command to display state and address information about DOCSIS CPE equipment attached to a given
interface:
SW2# show cable modem cpe-type ?
cpe Filter by CPE host type
mta Filter by PacketCable MTA host type
stb Filter by DSG STB host type
