4 Preparing the device for operation

Instructions for Use, AquaVENT

FD140, Rev. 12

4.6 CPAP or Paed CPAP with face mask, heated

An active humidifier must be integrated in the heated CPAP breathing
circuit.

Note

To prevent water from the humidifier, which collects during
operation, from entering the AquaVENT

FD140, the active

humidifier should be placed at a level below that of the
AquaVENT

FD140.

Note

When removing the active humidifier, first disconnect the tube
from the AquaVENT

FD140 to prevent water from the

humidifier from entering the AquaVENT

FD140.
