INDIRECT AERATION
If the heater room cannot be aerated directly,
indirect ventilation can be used, taking the
air from a nearby room via an opening at the
foot of the door (
fi
gure 12-13).
This solution is possible however only if:
a) the nearby room has adequate direct ven-
tilation as foreseen for direct aeration;
b) the nearby room is not used as a bedro-
om;
c) the nearby room is not a common part of
the building and is not a room where there
is a
fi
re risk (such as a fuel store, a garage,
etc).
d) the nearby room has a correct direct aera-
tion and free air passage from one room
to the other is ensured

with a device that, in case of

interrupts the arrival of gas to the main bur-

The device automatically activates again
upon every heating cycle.
The ventilation of the near by premises is no
longer su
ffi
cient to guarantee suitable venti-
lation to the premises in which the appliance
is installed, for example, for the installation
of a
fl
