EOC usage
Using the EOC (Embedded Operations Channel), it is possible to
exchange among other things connection information.

on (passive)
off:
No requests and answers will be sent to the remote
end.
on (passive):
No display of the remote end's parameter, since it only
responds to requests.
on (active):
Display the performance parameters of the local (own)
and remote ends, if the remote end supports the own
request.
