Quick Start and Troubleshooting Guide
Must Read Before First Flight!
The Ares Advantage Exera 130 CX is a first of its kind RC helicopter with breakthrough Aegis AAT
(Altitude Assist Technology). To operate your new Exera properly and maximize the use of the
technology, it’s imperative that you read and follow these directions closely.
Getting Started
Pre Flight Checks
Slide tab forward to open
battery tray
Slide battery in label side down
and wires to the right
Tuck wires under clip and twist
wire 180 degrees to keep wires
snug with battery
Note:
Install the AA batteries in the transmitter and turn it on before
plugging in the flight battery.
Caution:
Only use the recommended flight battery for your Exera 130
The wire length on other batteries may be too long and interfere with the mechanics of the helicopter.
For initial flights, it’s recommended that you take off from a hard, smooth area-like a wood,
tile, or cement floor.
Before your first flight, make sure that you have plenty of space. Ideally, you should give your-
self at least a 20ft x 20ft area that is free from obstacles and has a ceiling of at least 9ft.
Before flying, check the red LED on the tail of the heli to make sure that the AAT technology
is engaged. If engaged, it will blink steadily on and off. If AAT is not engaged, the LED will stay
on. To engage AAT , simply unplug the heli battery and plug it back in.
