General safety instructions
•
Workplace
- keep clean and well lit. Dark and dirty workplaces lead to accidents.
- Do not use in explosive environments, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases
or dust. Electrical equipment causes sparks that can cause a fire.
- Children and other persons present must keep their distance while the device is being used.
Otherwise the operator may be distracted and lose control of the appliance.

Electrical safety
- only plug into suitable sockets. The socket must not be modified. Do not use adapters on
devices with a safety plug. Suitable sockets and suitable connections reduce the risk of
electric shock.
- Avoid contact with grounded or earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, hotplates and
refrigerators.
- Do not expose the appliance to rain or wet conditions. Water inside the unit increases the
risk of electric shock.
- Handle the cord with care. It must not be used to carry, pull or unplug the plug. Keep the
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged and uninsulated cables
increase the risk of electric shock.

Personal safety
- Stay alert while working with an electrical device. Do not use the appliance when tired or
under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication. A moment of inattention can cause
serious injury.
- Use safety equipment. Safety glasses must always be used. Other protective equipment
such as dust mask, anti-slip safety shoes, helmet, ear protection reduce the risk of injury.
- Avoid unintentional starting. Make sure that the unit is

before plugging in the plug. To
avoid accidents, do not carry the device by hand at the switch and only plug it in when it is
switched off.
- Remove maintenance tools before switching on the device. If it is forgotten on the unit
when it is switched on, it may cause injury.
- Do not overload the machine. The unit provides optimum performance and safety within
the specified parameters. This ensures better control of the machine in unexpected
situations.
- Wear safety clothing. Do not wear baggy clothes or jewelry. Open hair, jewelry, loose
clothing and gloves are prohibited as they can be pulled into the machine.
- Devices used for the extraction of dust and residual metals must be properly installed.

Use and maintenance of the appliance
- Do not use the device for other purposes. The right tool for the application will do the job
better and safer.
- Do not use the appliance if the on-off switch does not work. Any malfunctioning device
must not be used and must be repaired.
- Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance work, so that the appliance does
not start unintentionally.
- Store the devices out of reach of children. Persons must be familiar with the instructions
before the first operation.
- Maintain electrical equipment regularly. Check the device for yielding, moving parts,
breakage and other errors that affect the operation of the device. If the device is damaged, it
