7.12 Replacing fuses
Replace fuse as follows:
1. Switch off all power consumers.
2. Remove seat (refer to section 4.12).
3. Press locking latches on both sides of the fuse cover and remove fuse cover.
4. Remove defective fuse.
5. Insert spare fuse with the correct ampere rating.
6. Check functioning of the power consumer.
7. Position fuse cover and press downwards until it engages.
8. Install seat (refer to section 4.12).
7.13 Checking the safety belts
● Check safety belts for torn or ragged edges.
● Check if the safety belts can be pulled out and rolled up easily.
● If necessary, clean the belts and the roll-up device. Do not oil nor lubricate the roll-
up device.
● Check if the belt buckles can be fastened and released.
ATTENTION
Always replace defective fuses with fuses of the same type and rating. Only
use fuses with the specified ampere rating.
Never bridge nor repair fuses.
If the new fuse fails after a short time, have the vehicle checked immediately
at an authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop.
NOTE
The fuses are located in a fuse box. The fuse box is installed underneath the
passenger seat (Wildcat) or underneath the driver seat (Prowler and Wildcat
Sport/Trail). In the event of an electrical defect, check the fuses first.
NOTE
A defective fuse can be recognized by the interrupted fuse wire.
WARNING
If a defect is detected, have an authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop
repair the belt system.
