First putting into operation 5

Entering 6 digit PIN:
1. Press "M" (1) and "S" (2) buttons and
keep pressed.
2. Turn ignition key to ON position.
3. Keep "M" (1) and "S" (2) buttons
pressed until the gauge display shows
"Pin".
4. Release "M" button.
5. Press "M" button (1) repeatedly until
the number 1 is displayed on the left-
hand side of the gauge display.

6. Press "S" button (2) repeatedly until the first digit of the registration PIN is dis-
played on the right-hand side of the gauge display.
7. Press "M" button (1). The number 2 is displayed on the left-hand side of the
gauge display.
8. Press "S" button (2) repeatedly until the second digit of the registration PIN is dis-
played on the right-hand side of the gauge display.
9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until all 6 digits of the registration PIN have been entered.
10. Press "M" button (1) after entering the last value. The entered PIN will be dis-
played.
11. Check if all digits of the registration PIN have been entered correctly.
12. Turn ignition key to OFF position and wait until the gauge display goes out.
13. Turn ignition key to ON position and check if no code (U1000 or U1001) is dis-
played any longer.
NOTE
Only one value and its associated position in the code are displayed in the
gauge display at any time.
NOTE
If a wrong PIN has been entered, a code (U1000 or U1001) will still be dis-
played. In this case, the PIN shall be entered again.
