During Infusion
3.4.1
Display Options in LCD
– Help Menu
After starting the infusion the pictogram showing the falling drop is illuminated (17, see
chapter 1.5). The DATA window displays the infused volume. In the LCD information such as
status of the pump, VTBI, infusion time, pressure, pressure limit, etc. can be displayed by
pressing SELECT (5) several times. In addition the course of the infusion is displayed in a
graphical way.

NOTE:
In the history window you can scroll backward and forward with the up/down keys in
the DATA window.
3.4.2
Dynamic Rate Change
Rate or VTBI can be changed during an infusion without stopping the pump. Whilst the pump
is running, press one of the rate or DATA keys. This will result in both displays flashing.
Select the new rate or VTBI and press “START/STOP” key to accept the change. Observe
pump will automatically switch over to the new changes.
NOTE:
This feature is not enabled on pump on standard settings. Contact your Technical
Department or your
arcomed
distributor to enable this feature.
3.4.3
Changing the Infusion Bag and Continue the Infusion
While the pump is running it is possible to change the infusion bag and continue with the
infusion with the pre set infusion parameters. The pump can be stopped any time by pressing
the „START/STOP“ key (7).Take off the empty bag detector from the drip chamber and
change infusion bag. Then put the empty bag detector back on the drip chamber and restart
the infusion by pre
ssing the „START/STOP“ key again.
NOTE:
In Stop mode the pump is running at the KVO rate (see chapter 3.6) . If the pump
remains in stop mode for more than 2 minutes (adjustable) the pump will emit an acoustic
alarm.
Warning: Before opening the pump door always close the roller clamp or disconnect
the patient
