Maintenance

18.15  Replacing the Fan

Before you begin:

• 

Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing

•  Ensure the gas supply is turned OFF and disconnect the power supply (including backup batteries)

• 

Open the Control Access Door (see 

Section 6.4

)

Step 2:

 Remove the (5) 1/4" tek screws securing the fan bracket 

to the back of the fireplace.

Step 1:

 Unplug the fan wires from the control board.

CAUTION:

 Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous 

operation. Verify proper operation after servicing. This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with

National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical code, 

CSA C22.1

 Pull the fan from the back of the fireplace.
