18.5 Adjusting the Primary Air

The

45-DVFE28LN-1

includes an air shutter located under the door of the fireplace which may be used to adjust the primary air to

achieve the ideal flame as shown in

Figure 18.5.01

. To adjust, loosen the wing nut on the air shutter and adjust as shown in

Figure

18.5.02

. To open the air shutter and increase air flow to the burner, slide the air shutter to the left. To close the air shutter and decrease

air flow to the burner, slide the air shutter to the right.

CAUTION:

Do not adjust primary air below specified opening on the rating label.
