18.14 Replacing the Fan
Before you begin:
•
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing
•
Ensure the gas supply is turned OFF and disconnect the
power supply (including backup batteries)
•
Remove the barrier screen (see
Section 6.3
)
•
Remove Glass Door (see
Section 6.4
)
•
Remove burner media (see
Section 16.0
)
•
Remove panel set (if applicable - see
Section 15.0
)
•
Remove the masking plate (see
Section 18.11
)
•
Remove the log rest and burner surround (see
Section 18.12
)
•
Remove the burner (see
Section 18.13
)
Step 2:
Mark the fan wires before unplugging them from the fan.
Step 1:
Remove the (6) 1/4" tek screws securing the fan bracket
to the back of the firebox.

Installation is the reverse of removal.
Replace gasket on the fan bracket during reinstall if required.
CAUTION:
Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous
operation. Verify proper operation after servicing. This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with
local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical code,
CSA C22.1

Before you begin:

Remove the (4) 1/4" tek screws securing the burner to the
firebox bottom.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
Check operation of air shutter when reinstalling the burner.
