19.9 Replacing Light Bulbs
18.8 Disabling CPI
If you have to disable continuous pilot ignition (CPI) for any reason,
follow the steps below:
1.
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing.
2.
Disconnect power supply to the fireplace (including
backup batteries)
.
3.
Turn off gas supply.
4.
Remove the barrier screen (see
Section 6.3
).
5.
Remove the wire cover (see
Section 6.5
).
6.
Slide the sliding access door back and the control board out
(see
Section 6.5
).
7.
Pull the blue CPI wire from the insulation sleeving and cut the
wire. Protect both ends of the wire.
8.
Slide the control board in and close the sliding access door.
9.
Replace the wire cover and barrier screen.
10.
Resupply power and Light the fireplace to verify proper
operation.
Caution:
Always handle bulbs with cotton gloves as finger prints
may reduce the life of the bulb. We recommend replacing both
bulbs at the same time.

Remove the glass door assembly (see
Section 6.4
).
6.
Remove the old bulb from the bulb holder.
7.
Replace with a bulb of the same specifications.
8.
Ensure burner media has not been disturbed.
9.
Replace glass door assembly and barrier screen.
10.
Resupply power.
11.
Light the fireplace to verify proper operation. See
Section
17.4
for information on using the remote to control the lights.
