Installation

IMPORTANT

When placing embers around the pilot shield take care to not block the pilot opening. Failure to keep the 

opening clear of embers or media will cause a delayed ignition. Embers should also be placed so they do 

not completely block burner ports. DO NOT block secondary air gaps around burner.

Step 1:

 Logs use pre-drilled holes and pins in the burner to ensure 

proper alignment. Beginning with Log 1, locate the holes in the 

bottom of the log - they will align with the pins indicated below.

Step 2:

 Lower Log 1 onto the pins in the burner.

Step 3:

 Begin placing embers along the front side of Log 1. Start 

with larger embers. Place them rounded side down to avoid 

blocking burner openings.

 Extra embers are included with the logset. Discard any 

embers that are too flat and will block burner openings.
