Installation

12.2  Hearth Clearances

Any hearth that extends outward in front of the fireplace must not have any combustible material closer than 

12" (304.8 mm)

 to the 

front of the fireplace for the width of the fireplace door. Archgard Hearth Insulation Board (Part Number 41-IB, sold separately) or a 

similar material must be used. The hearth must be finished with a minimum of a standard 3/8" tile or other non-combustible material.
