20.9 Replacing Light Bulbs
Caution:
Always handle bulbs with cotton gloves as finger prints
may reduce the life of the bulb. We recommend replacing both
bulbs at the same time.
1.
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing.
2.
Disconnect power supply (including back-up battery power)
to the fireplace.
3.
Turn off gas supply.
4.
Remove the fireplace surround (optional).
5.
Remove the barrier screen. See
Section 14.0
.
6.
Remove the door assembly. See
Section 15.0
.
7.
Pull the expired bulb to remove.
8.
Replace with a bulb of the same specifications.
9.
Ensure burner media has not been disturbed.
10.
Replace door, barrier screen, and surround.
11.
Resupply gas and power.
12.
Light the fireplace to verify proper operation. See
Section
19.4
for information on using the remote to control the
lights.
20.10 Replacing the Control Board
Before you begin:
•
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing.
•
Disconnect power supply (including back-up battery power) to the
fireplace.
•
Remove the fireplace surround. See
Section 16.0
.
1.
Label each wire as you disconnect them.
2.
Disconnect all connections to the control board.
3.
Remove nuts securing the control board at the top and bottom.
4.
Replace with the new control board and secure using nuts removed
in the previous step.
5.
Reconnect all connections.
6.
Replace the fireplace surround.
7.
Supply power to the fireplace and verify proper operation.
CAUTION:
Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous
operation. Verify proper operation after servicing.
This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local codes,
with the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical code, CSA C22.1
