18.14 Replacing the Fan
Before you begin:
•
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing
•
Ensure the gas supply is turned OFF and disconnect the power supply (including backup batteries)
•
Remove the burner (see
Section 18.12
)
CAUTION:
Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous
operation. Verify proper operation after servicing. This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with
local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical code,
CSA C22.1

Step 1:
Remove the three (3) tek screws securing the right side
burner support.
Step 2:
Support the fan and remove the four (4) Tek Screws
securing the fan to the fan access plate.

Remove the nine (9) tek screws securing the fan access
plate.

Pull the fan from the opening.

Unplug the wires from the fan motor.

Remove the two (2) tek screws securing the fan mounting
bracket.
