Installation
NOTE
This product must be installed by a qualified installer. The installer should follow the procedure best suited for each specific
installation.

Frame an opening for the fireplace (see the IHEAT manual
if installing IHEAT), allowing for vent installation and type of
installation (corner or flat wall application).
2.
If mounting a heat sensitive object such as a television or
artwork above the fireplace, you must also install IHEAT. See
IHEAT manual for clearance changes when using IHEAT.
3.
Attach nailing flanges and Standoffs to fireplace.
4.
Insert fireplace into framing.
5. Install hearth (if applicable).
6.
Complete electrical hook-up.
7.
Complete gas line installation.
8.
Complete venting installation.
9.
Secure fireplace to framing with nailing flanges. Verify all
clearances.
10.
Install facing material (refer to
Section 12
for clearance infor
-
mation), mantel or cabinetry.
11.
Install the optional panel set. Many options are available from
your local Archgard dealer.
12.
Install the logs, glass door assembly, and barrier screen.
13.
Verify proper operation of fireplace and all components.
PLACEMENT CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
•
This fireplace must be installed on a level surface capable of
supporting the fireplace and venting
•
Fireplace must be placed directly on wood or non-combus
-
tible surface (not linoleum or carpet) extending entire depth
and width of fireplace
•
Facing material must be all non-combustible (see
Section 12
for detailed clearance information)
•
Due to high surface temperatures, fireplace should be located
out of traffic and away from furniture and draperies
•
This fireplace may be installed in a bedroom (see local
codes)
•
Please be aware of the large amount of heat this fireplace will
produce when determining a location

Appliance clearances and framing specifications differ if IHEAT is installed.
