6.5 Accessing The Controls

To access the control board or valve in a fully finished installation:
1.
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool.
2.
Remove the barrier screen (See
Section 6.3
).
3.
Lift the upper valve access cover to remove from the fireplace.
To install the valve access cover, drop it in place.
Reinstall screen prior to operating this appliance. Never operate this fireplace without the barrier screen in place.
To access the control board or valve in a open faced installation:
If preferred, the area under the fireplace opening may be left unfinished. This will provide improved access to the valve area for
enhanced serviceability and easy cleaning. The controls may be accessed through the following steps:
1.
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool.
2.
Remove the barrier screen (See
Section 6.3
).
3.
Remove the upper valve access cover as shown above.
4.
Lift the lower front valve access panel up and away from the fireplace.
