Installation

5.1

Before installation

5.1.1

General instructions to prepare the product

1. Read the material safety data sheet of the pumped liquid.

2. Check if the product is delivered according to the specifications.
3. Install the product on a clean, stable and level surface. 

You can also use 

vibration absorbers to decrease vibration effects.

 

4. Make sure that you can reach the product after installation for operation and 

maintenance purposes.

5. Make sure there is sufficient ventilation to cool the motor.
6. Install power meters, pressure switches or a level switch to prevent the product 

from running dry or from running with a closed discharge line.

WARNING

The product is heavy. Use the correct lifting gear to lift the product.

CAUTION

Handle the product with care during transport to prevent damage to the 
pump shaft. 

WARNING

Wear the correct personal protective equipment.

Note

The long coupled model TKm is supplied on a common base plate and 
needs to be secured with screws on a concrete or metallic base of ade-
quate dimensions and level.

CAUTION

This product has been aligned with laser equipment for the best repre-
sentation of the test results. Transport and installation can cause devia-
tions. After installation and before commisioning, make sure that the 
alignment is correct.
