4.3.19

Use of Y capacitors in the DC link [DC+/-]

There are no Y capacitors installed in the VECTOPOWER itself.

Depending on the earthing concept of the devices in the DC link [DC+/-], the [DC+/-] potential
can fluctuate around the earth potential when the power semiconductors are connected.

If jumping around the earth potential is not permitted for your application, install suitable Y
capacitors in the DC link [DC+/-]. These Y capacitors must connect the [DC+] and [DC-] DC link
to earth (housing). This means that the potential can only jump minimally.

When selecting these Y capacitors, you must observe the applicable safety regulations for the
place where your application is used.
