Optimal use of water flow:
For getting the optimal flow out of your
ECO pump, you have to use either the ver-
tical or the horizontal connection and the
ball-joint swivels maximum 15º.
NB: If the ball-joint swivels like shown on
these photos you will experience a flow
loss of up to 30 % and that can be avoided
easily by choosing the right pump outlet.
Always remember to choose the biggest
possible hose diameter, as a to little hose
can reduce the possibility to yield the opti-
mal flow and the result could be a consid-
erable loss of capacity.
Important!
The pump may not run dry, as the mo-
tor could be damaged as a result and
the bearings and the ceramic shaft
could break down.
Never use the pump in the pond with-
out housing (pre-filter housing). Ensure
that the hose is not bended, so that the
water flow does not block.
When the pump is in use, you have to
maintain (clean) it regularly, depending
on the pollution level of the water, for
ensuring the optimal operation.
Regulator Extern suction
Optimal use of suction:
The extern suction of the Eco pumps can easily be adjusted from 0 - 100% by the regu-
lator bottom, i.e. at a setting of 0% the pump draws only from the housing and at a
setting of f. ex. 50%, the pump draws ca. 50% from the housing and ca. 50% from the
extern suction.
The extern suction can with big advantage be connected to a surface skimmer or a fil-
ter, which can be placed in the pond, so that the necessary service and cleaning of the
pre-filter housing is easy to proceed.
If you connect a surface skimmer, it is important that the skimmer does not pass dirt
particles bigger that 8 mm, otherwise the impeller can block and that could damage the
pump.
Also a surface skimmer with pre-filter can be connected, but that requires the installa-
tion of an adjustable Y-distributor in the pond, so that it is possible to adjust between
the suction from the skimmer and the suction from the pre-filter or low water filter.
